Rajendra Mishra College, Saharsa came into existence way back in 1978 to translate the dream of creating an institution of quality education at Degree level in the streams of Science, Arts & Commerce in this otherwise backward region to devastation Kosi floods year after year. With the active support and participation of people of all the sections of the society, the institution gradually emerged as one of the famous centers of higher education in the erstwhile L.N Mithila University, Darbhanga. With its team of distinguished faculty members in all the subjects, this institution registered remarkable results in the university, Madhepura in the year 1992 as a result of bifurcation of the then university, out focus shifted to making all-out efforts to transform the institution into vocations and jobs suited to their interest and skill. The start of the BBA Hons course at our institution has served as a great morale booster for the keen learners and job seekers. Our attention has also been engineered towards maintaining a secular, cultural, liberal and competitive environment. Rajendra Mishra College, Saharsa was founded on 01 july 1978 as a reputed seat of higher education to offer quality education in the streams of Commerce, Science, Arts & Management. The institution bears the name of Pt. Rajendra Mishra who was a great reformer and visionary devoted to the cause of social regeneration. Situated on the outskirts of the city just two kilometers away from the Saharsa Railway Staation on the main Saharsa- Madhepura road and just near the govt Polytechnic, the college provides all the amenities of quality education.
