Mahila College Dalmianagar, is a pre-eminent college of Rohtas District, whose teutale has always been enhancing skills for better life of young women in Bihar.

It was the first institution of higher learning opened to cater the educational needs of women of Rohtas District in Bihar, established in 1963. Smt Satya Sahi was the founder, of Mahila College Dalmianagar presented as a gift to the young women of Rohtas District for providing and excellence that ultimately help then in becoming empowered. The College is a constituent unit of Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara and permanently affiliated under section 2 f and 12 B of UGC Act Since 1956.

The college was granted the status of degree college in 1978 and currently been awarded Grade – B by NAAC. A nourishing environment supported by co-combination of competent unit restructure and a dedicated teaching staffs helps our students to achieve the highest laurels in academics, sports, arts and culture and other co-curricular / extra – curricular activities.

Mahila College Dalmianagar situated on the bank of “Holy River Sone”, “Dehri-Dalmianagar town is the connecting line of Indian Railways from national capital “Delhi” to the historical and traditional culture of India, right from villages rural society to symbolic flavour of the nation depicting enormous traits of Indians. In the evident period around 1940, Dalmianagar industrial development flourished prominently with variety of sections uplifting the town as well as its economy. The verse truly goes that a nation only rises, if the people and society holds an intellectual level and a developed educational environment. Thus, for the same progressive purpose, Rohtas District on the demands of nearby developed minds and education lovers, soon aims on setting high standards for its people with strong emphasis particularly on “women education and upliftment” In the year 1965, first attempt by the institution was made to serve the society as “Night Tutorial Mahila College” in the industrial sector of “ Dalmianagar” like any other academic institution the college faced initial difficulties in the ongoing with classes scheduled in the evening from “04:45 PM to 09:00 PM” with continuous efforts and strong will fewer, the college kept its development and momentum undisturbed. On 26th January 1977 the prominent name of “Mahila College” came into existence and since then, the institution serves the society and its people with best possible standards of intellect as well as upliftments for the students on a wider scale.
