This is an era of industrialization. Technical revolution is the keyword in every field. The institution was established in the year 1984-85 vide Govt. notification 4202 dated 12-10-84 under Deptt., of Science & Technology, Govt. of Bihar with the objective of enhancing the women’s participation in technician education.
At its inception, the institution started with total intake of 30 students in two diploma courses viz. Library Science & Secretarial practice. There had been steady development over the years and the institution, at present, is imparting education in the different trades/ courses with total intake of 240 students.
