This institute was established by the govt. of Bihar for women only to train for their employment in various departments. This institution has the honor of the being the first women Polytechnic in North Bihar. Costume Design & Garment Making It was a two years course and the minimum qualifications for admission were at least Intermediate in Arts, Science or Commerce.In the beginning, only two branches were sanctioned. After that a combined entrance test was introduced for admission and that was a department management. In the year 1999, a new curriculum was introduced viz., Electronics and communication Engg. And for the admission in this course the minimum qualification was matriculation. Formerly in these three branches, only sixty candidates were to be trained. Thirty seats were course. But after the year 2000, The competition was instructed to IAS Bhawan and since then it is being conducted by them.
