It was affiliated to bhagalpur University upto degree standard in 1965 with effect from the session 65-66. It developed and started functioning as an affilated college imparting instruction in the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce. In the year 1980, the college was taken over by lN Mithila University, Darbhanga. After the Division of LN Mithila University, DarBganga, in 1992 it has been functioning as a constitute unit of BN Mandal university , Madhepura., The College provides a liberal, lively and competitive environment enabling students to carve out a niche for themselves in their chosen arenas.
