Ayodhya Babu, a man of multidimensional Personality of locality and was a great Social reformer of considerable repute who fought thought and nail against prevailing orthodox Unlouchabilily illikracy etc. The Location Of the College, Barauni stands in the Valley of the holy Gangas and banks in the glories of age old culture and ancient civilization with Its Industrial Neighborhood, It also Represents the modern gesture of our generation., Ayodhya Prasad Singh Memorial College Barauni, known as APSM College Barauni is currently a constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga. Our college started its journey in the year 1958 as a unit of then Bihar University, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. It is situated at the vicinity of Industrial and agricultural belt of Begusarai District. Since its inception the college is imparting co-education in subjects of Arts stream and after a decade in that of science stream. Not too long in the past the various bodies of universities senate, Syndicate, Academic Council etcetera gave approval for the commencement of Commerce faculty., Library is supposed to be an integral part of an institution where students spend most of their academic hours. We have a rich number of books available covers each and every subject which is taught in our college. We are in the state of progression and making it much richer than the day before., Science, in the absence of laboratory, is a nothing, for we have Laboratories of science equipped with all the essential equipments and apparatus as we are trying our best to align these in the row of modern laboratory., Our college left an irremovable impression in the glory of University Sports for many decades. For there is devoted department of sports that keeps eyes over day-to-day development of the students engaging in. Apart from their academic pursuit, our students made history in our college coining their names in National and International sports tournament. Our college contributed leaving no stone unturned impression in the Holistic development of students. Keeping this in view there is National Cadet Core in our college training them to achieve B and C certificate in 3/9 battalion., Under the banner of National Service Scheme the students are found to be performing different government program ie Awareness rallies, Health camps, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etcetera. With all these there are running different councils and cells attributed to the different departments and their teachers. Each department is running his own councils which conduct different seminar and conference time to time engaging students of their respective departments. Besides we have alienated language lab focusing over language fluency to achieve the mastery over language. Different cells are also very instrumental for the resolutions of the different problems faced by the students ie Career Counseling Cell, Grievance cells, Anti-ragging cells, Women Empowerment cell, Training and Placement cell.
