Berhampur University is one of the prominent universities in Orissa, India. It forms part of three major universities in orissa the other two being Utkal University and Sambalpur University. It came into existence on 2nd January 1967 being inaugurated by Dr. A.N. Khosla, the then Governor of Orissa and the first Chancellor of the University.
