In the traditional universities, only 10+2 pass students are qualified to take admission into the degree courses. As a mandate of open universities, K.K. Handiqui State Open University gives opportunity to those who have not passed 10+2 and have attained 19 years of age on 1st April of the year of admission but are desirous of undergoing higher studies. For such persons, the university offers this Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) of two-year duration to qualify themselves and to make admission into the degree programmes. Those learners who could not pursue education for various reasons but have the potential and zeal to fulfil their hidden desire of acquiring higher education can take advantage of this programme.
