To demonstrate elements of media industry and to familiarise them with recent development in mass media to expose them to application of new technology and practices in Journalism in various mass media i.e., print media, electronic media, internet etc. This will enhance opportunities of absorption in this emerging field.
Course Structure
The course is divided into three years. 1st and 2nd years consists of four Hons. papers and two Subsidiary papers. In the final year there shall be five Hons. papers and one Project.

Paper 1:Introduction to Journalism & Mass Communication .
Paper II: Reporting and Editing I.
Paper III: Writing for Mass Media.
Paper IV: Indian Government and politics and International Relations.
Subsidiary I: Economics.
Subsidiary II:Computer Application (Course in Computer may be required as per course need).
2nd Year
Paper V: Introduction to Audio – Visual Media.
Paper VI: Reporting and Editing II.
Paper VII: Advertising.
Paper VIII: Public Relations/ Corporate Communications.
Subsidiary I: Economics Development and Planning in India.
Subsidiary II: Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
3rd Year
Paper IX: Reporting and Editing- III.
Paper X: Photo Journalism.
Paper XI: Design and Graphics.
Paper XII: Indian Constitution and Media Law.
Paper XIII: Development Communication.
Paper XIV: Project Report.

Eligibility
10+2 or its equivalent examination passed candidates from a recognized Board including Madrasa Education Board Bihar, in Arts/Science/Commerce securing 45% marks in aggregate.
Reservation: The University shall follow the Reservation norms as per Bihar State Govt Rules
Seat Limit: Seat Limit is Sixty (60) seats in each batch
Training: Training facility to be provided as per the requirement of the course.
Dress Code & Discipline: The students must observe dress code and must follow rules as prescribed by the University
