The University offers a three year Bachelor degree programme in History in the semester system.History is a very lively field of study that aims at enabling the learners to acquire knowledge on various historical developments at the regional, national and international levels. To provide the learner with a comprehensive knowledge on History, the B. A. Major course contains papers such as History of India, History of Assam, Cultural History of India, Cultural History of Assam, India under Colonial Rule, Indian Historiography, History of Europe, History of Japan, History of China, History of Ancient Civilization etc.
