The College is managed by a Private Body with "not for profit" motive. Biswanath College of Education BED COURSE is a privately managed Secondary Teachers training Institute affiliated to Gauhati University and reconised by the National Council for teacher Education. It is situated in the heart of the Biswanath Chariali town, Dist Sonitpur Assam. The college progress its own NCTE specified building over 3.5 acres of land. Established in the year 1992. Gauhati University accorded affiliation for Bed Course in the year 1993 and the University Granted Bed examination center in the year 1994. The college is situated just near the Biswanath College and it is only one kilometer towards south of NH NO 52.

It is situated nearly 74 kilometre east of Tezpur Town by road. From Guwahati City it is nearly 300 KM towards east by road. The town is connected by NF Rly. The famous Biswanath Temple is only 10 Km South of the Chariali town. The place Biswanath is Known as "Gupta Kashi" Hidden Baranashi of the North East India. The king "Banasura" wanted to make another kashi dham at Biswanath Ghat river past during british rule which did not materialize. The place is holy place for Hindus.
