About College of Education, Nagaon
College of Education, Nagaon was established in 1992 as a result of the effort of some educationists of Nagaon. It is one of the premier teacher training institute of Assam. In 1994 College was shifted to its own building located near Srimanta Sankar Mission Road. The college was set up with an objective of promoting quality education in the region. The College was approved by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) in 2007.The college has well experienced teachers to enlighten the aspiring teachers. The college provides modern infrastructure and facilities. Being a prominent institute, the college attracts students from all over the country. The college is affiliated to Gauhati University, established in 1948 under the Guwahati University Act 1947.
