Beltola College was established in 1983 with the permission of Gauhati University and Govt of Assam accorded Govt Concurrence to the College in 1984 to start PU Arts classes in the existing subjects English, Assamese MIL, Hindi MIL, Advanced Assamese, Economics, Political Science, Education, Philosophy and History. Later the same permission was granted by AHSEC in 1985. The College located at the North East side of Guwahati Metro city. Since the establishment of Assam’s Permanent Capital in Dispur, the population of the region has been increasing rapidly.
