Arunachal University of Studies, Namsai

The Arunachal University of Studies has been established by Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh through an Act of State Legislator. The University is duly recognized by UGC u/s 2(f) and is empowered to award degrees specified u/s 22 of UGC Act 1956. The University is the member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. The certifications issued by the University are globally accepted.

Since its inception, the university has attained several laurels in the field of quality education and has received appreciations from different sections which includes eminent personalities, organizations etc. The University has received the awards of “Best Emerging University in North East” by Hon’ble Union Minister of HRD, Sh. Prakash Javadekar at National Education Excellence Awards 2017, “Best Knowledge Creation and Innovation University Award 2018” by Hon’ble Union Minister of State HRD, Dr. Satyapal Singh at Higher Education Summit, New Delhi and “Best University in Academics Award 2017” at Indian Institute Leadership Education Summit.

The University is located at the border of Assam & Arunachal Pradesh which is an important gateway to several prominent districts of Assam and Eastern Arunachal Pradesh. The university caters to the higher education needs of students of the entire Brahmputra belt which includes the prominent towns and districts like Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Pasighat, Longding, Tirap, Changlang, Lohit, Anjaw, Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley, Siang,Upper Siang, Sibsagar, Jorhat, Moran, Golaghat, Dumdooma, Kakopathar, Digboi, Dulijan, Margherita, Naharkatia, Namrup, Dhemaji and North Lakhimpur.
