The urge for rendering social service has prompted to start the GRAMEENA EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL SERVICE SOCIETY at Tadipudi in 1999 and the philanthropists who joined as members resolved to start a Degree College in the upland rural area. Sri Karibandi Subbarao Memorial Degree College at Tadipudi has been the outcome of the resolutions. Since 1999 the college has been on the progressive path of growth and development. Combinations of Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science are offered in the sciences stream while commerce subject is taught with the combination of Computer Sciences. The College is situated in a serene, calm atmosphere with lush green coconut trees around. But Tadipudi is a remote village. So, all the students are facing troubles to attend the college in time. By considering this situation, to facilitate the Students Management wished to shift the venue of the college to a centrally located area Tallapudi. After taking the permission of the University the venue was shifted to Tallapudi from 2005-2006 and also started another combination Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry in B.Sc. stream.

In 1999, the strength of the students was just 35 and presently it has gone up to 176 and girl students from half of the strength. After completion of three years of study the first batch of students in B.Sc., courses achieved a pass percentage of 86 and in B.Com. it is equally good with 86 and aggregate percentage of marks is 90 as highest.After that we can't see back. The results of our college are growing in every year and we are proudly say that some of our student are well settled in different parts of the globe.

In the year 2002-03 the society, got permission to start a B.Ed. college in the name of Sri Karibandi Subbarao Memorial College of Education. In the year 2005-06, the society taking the achievement in to account, got the green signal from the Board of Intermediate Education to start a Junior College in the name of Sri Karibandi Ganiraju & Smt. Surya Kumari Jr. College with the combinations MPC, BiPC, CEC, MEC in both English and Telugu Medium and also University gave permission to our society to start a P.G. College (Physics) in the name of Sri Karibandi Subbarao Memorial P.G. College at Tallapudi. The college has its Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Labs fully equipped with modern equipment. The Management spent about Rs.5.5 lakhs for the Physics Laboratory, Rs.3.5 lakhs for the Computers Laboratory and 3 lakhs for the Chemistry Laboratory. A good library with nearly 4,000 books has been provided at a cost of Rs.3 lakhs. The faculty members thrive their best to impart quality education in our college under the ablest stewardship of the experienced Principal Sri Dr. Y. Adeppa.
