About the College
The School Of Business Management (SBM) is located in the sprawling campus of Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupathi , at the foot of the temple town Tirumala.The School was established in 1983 and offers an outstanding two-year four semester MBA programme approved by THE ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION and UGC, New Delhi.Ever since its inception, the School has made rapid strides in imparting management education and established itself as on the the outstanding management institutions of the country. Many of its alumni are in Top Management positions in various organisations across the country and abroad.

Master Of Business Management The School Of Business Management (Sbm) Offers An Outstanding Two-Year(Full Time) Four-Semseter Mba Programme Approved By The Aicte, New Delhi. As Part Of This Programme, The Following Specialisations Are Offered : Computer & System Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Human Resources Management, Production Management, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management.

Facilities The School Has Its Own Library With A Wide Collection Of Books, Journals And Magazines On Different Aspects Of Management. In Addition The Students Have Access To The University’s Central Library Which Is Really A Treasure House To Use And Enjoy.

The School Also Has A Computer Lab Housing 20 Latest Pentium Pcs With Colour Monitors Which Will Be Open Round The Clock Based On The Students Necessity. In Addition, The Students And Faculty Of Sbm Have Access To The University’s Computer Centre Which Houses A Unix And Lan.

Industry Interface The Sbm Maintains A Close Rapport With The Industry By Involving Executives In Student Training And Curriculum Development Activities. The Tirupathi Management Association Founded By Sbm Is An Important Forum For Discussion And Exchange Of Ideas Among Executives, Faculty And Students.
Visiting Faculty The School Had A Long History Of Visiting Faculty. In The Initial Years Of Its Inception, Eminent Facutly From Iima And Iimb Used To Come As Visiting Faculty To The School And Impart The Students With The Best Management Education In The Country. The Need For The Visiting Faculty Dwindled As The School Started Having Its Own Permanent Faculty Who Had Attended Fdps In Iima. Now, Business Executives And Eminent Academicians From Within And Outside The Country Are Invited As Guest Faculty.

SCHEME OF ADMISSION The number of seats is limited to 35. Earlier the School had an All India Written test followed by a Group Discussion and Interview for the selection of the students. From the past two years, based on the directive from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, the selection is being done solely on the ranks obtained in MBA Common Entrance Test (MBACET) being conducted by the State Government every year during the month of May.
