3 ½ months Pre-Sea Training for Deck Cadet Officers. Eligibility: 18 years with a pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination OR 22 years with a pass in Degree Courses OR 24 years with B.E/B.Tech from a recognized Engg. collage (or) AICTE recognized institute. Candidate should be physically fit and mentally strong, fit for Sea Service under standard norms. Eye sight: 6/6 with no color blindness. (Candidate is subjected to medical examination). Mandatory courses: Personal Survival Techniques, Elementary First Aid at Sea, Basic Fir Fighting, Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities.
