Future Institute of Technology (FIT), approved by AICTE and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as WBUT), has been conceptualised by Team Future and will exert greater emphasis on the design aspect that fine tunes technical education. Campus is located just 2 Kms. away from Garia Main Bus stand and Kavi-Nazrul Metro Station.
The department has well be equipped labs with Linux and MS Windows Operating Systems. The students in the department will be trained in the use of many open source software during the duration of their course. The department will organize various Lectures, Seminars, and Workshops etc. on the latest emerging topics. This will enable students as well as faculty members to update their knowledge and keep them informed about the state of the art technology and trends. Faculty members and students will be encouraged in all academic activities by providing the resources at ease. The students will also be encouraged to take live IT and interdisciplinary projects at an early stage with the help of resource persons.
The mission of the Department is to emerge as global leaders in imparting Civil Engineering education and to promote research in the field of Civil Engineering with strong emphasis on values and overall personality development. Civil Engineering is one of the oldest branches of Engineering. Civil engineers make modern life possible. They work on the planning, design, construction and maintenance of projects such as skyscrapers, motorways, bridges, tunnels and dams. Students will learn how to use mathematics and science to design major construction projects, design and build the infrastructure for modern cities, calculate the maximum load a bridge can withstand, solve transportation problems and understand the environmental issues to be aware of when under taking construction.
Electronics Engineers are actually pioneers of today’s advanced age of the information superhighway. Electronics & Communication engineering department of FIT will be equipped with state-of-the-art labs and inspiring faculties. The department will prepare the students to be agents of the future technological change. ECE department will impart up to date technical knowledge and skills to produce well-qualified engineers to make qualitative difference in the communication field. It aims at providing students to address social and cultural breath demanded of them in the modern society. The department will give exposure to the modern Electronics and Communication and moulds them to be technically competitive and place them ahead in the race of quality employment.
Modern society is highly dependent on reliable power, communications and electronic systems. Electrical engineers design the equipment and systems that provide these essential services. This discipline involves communications and information technology, the applications of microprocessors and computers, electric power generation and the application of modern instrumentation and high-power electronics. Students will learn about computer systems, control systems, digital signal processing, electronics, power electronics, power systems, radio systems and telecommunications. Today’s fast paced technology translates into a growing number of challenges for electrical engineers.
The Department of Electrical Engineering will be a fine blend of young and dynamic personalities as faculty to provide quality education. The laboratories will be modernized to reflect the rapid changes in technology. The Department will have strong Industry interaction in development of state-of-art products for Industry. It will develop advanced laboratories in the fields of Automation (PLC, SCADA), Drives, Motors and Switchgears.

Mechanical engineers are required in manufacturing, automobile industry, power plants, aviation industry, nuclear energy and all major industries and small scale industries as well as in Government sector.
