G.B.R. Degree College was started in the year 1980 with B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. Courses. PG Courses were started in the year 1992-93 with MCA Programme. Many Students of MCA of our college are employed world over particularly in USA. It is a natural corollary to start MBA course in the year 1997-98. Further the M.Sc. Organic Chemistry was started in 1998-99. Now both the courses MCA & MBA have an intake of 60 seats each. M.Sc. Mathematics was started during the academic year 2001-2002. M.Sc. Analytical was also started during the academic year 2005-06.
The Management has provided pucca building to all these institutions separately.

About twelve acres of land is provided for play fields. Tennis, Valley Ball, Basket Ball, Tennycoit, Kho-Kho, Base Ball, Kabbadi Courts are laid. The Cricket, Hockey & Foot Ball grounds are provided. The running track is laid to develop sports. Besides this, the public are also utilizing our play field facilities and hence it serves the community purpose also. The college is located in sylvan setting with full of gardens, greenery all around and this will provide a calm, serene, peaceful academic atmosphere. These gardens become a model to most of the schools and colleges in East Godavari District. An excellent, modern seminar hall with all updated audiovisual equipment and public address system is provided at a cost of Rs. 10 Lakhs. Each institution has its own library with thousands of books on various subjects. All the labs are well equipped with latest infrastructure facilities and equipment. Busses, Generators and Workshops are also provided in our institutions.
