Vivekananda Degree College, at Vempalli, in Kadapa District, run by Vivekananda Educational Society, under the Chairmanship of P. Muralinatha Reddy was started by Sri Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy M.P. Kadapa, with the blessings of Y.S. Family. The APSCHE, Hyderabad, accorded Permission to the Vivekananda Education Society to start a private unaided Degree College at Vempalli, Cuddapah District to cater to the Educational needs of backward rural people around Vempalli. Vivekananda Degree College is affiliated with S.V.University, Tirupati, and the University was permitted the College to start the following Courses with different subject combinations from the Academic year 2006- 07.
