Government Polytechnic For Women, Hindupur
Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Hindupur is one of the oldest Polytechnics in the State. The foundation stone was laid by Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and his wife Smt. Lakshmi Parvathi in 1985. It is sprawling in a huge campus of 15 acres with buildings for College, Girls Hostel and Workshops with good play ground. Hostel facility is quite convenient for students coming from different corners of Andhra Pradesh. There are three branches-Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Diploma in Pharmacy. We have optimum strength of 50 students for each section. We have well established laboratories for all the branches. Our students have won many Pratibha Awards and our college is among the top ten colleges in our region. Our students have also won prizes in district level Sports and Games Meet and represented in State Level Competitions and won prizes. They are also good in cultural activities. We are regularly conducting yoga classes for their overall fitness. Thus, our college aims at all round development of our students. We have a very good, young, dynamic, dedicated and highly qualified faculty.
