To meet the situation, the entrepreneurs associated with Dr BC Roy Group of Colleges, with support from like-minded professionals founded Dr BC Roy College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences in September, 2005 at the centre of Durgapur Steel City on around four acres of Govt. land procured from ADDA, Govt. of West Bengal.
Like other high-end institutions of Engineering and Management run by the Group, BCRCPAHS, named after the legendry physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Visionary and Architect of modern West Bengal, is also being designed as a prime institution under the overall management of Dr BC Roy Engineering College Society.
