Raja Shri Krishna Dutt P.G. College, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh affiliated to V.B.S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur (UP) and Recognized by National Council for Teacher Education has been founded with motto to provide higher education to boys and girls of Jaunpur District.

Raja Sri Krishna Dutt Degree College, Jaunpur is one of the premier institutions of Uttar Pradesh. It has about 42 well qualified teachers. Almost all of them are Ph.D. About 20% of them are engaged in research work in various departments. Many of them have contributed articles and research papers to national and international journals. There are upwards of 3 thousands students in this college. It is known for its innovative methods of teaching and the quality of its research work. Most of its alumni are representing it in different fields not only in the country. The college was originally founded as an English Missionary School in 1841 by Late Priya Nath Ghose. It was recognized as Inter College in 1916. It Became an Intermediate in 1940. It acquired the status of a Degree College in July 1959 in affiliation to Gorakhpur University. It got the status of Post Graduation in 1996 after a long drawn protest led by then principal B.B. Dubey. The college is situated at a distance of 1 Kilometres from Jaunpur Junction and about 5 Kilometres from Jaunpur City Station. It is 1.5 Kilometres away from the Roadways Depot
