KRR Govt Arts and Science College, Kodad was established in the year 1968,
Kondapally Raghavamma RangaRao Government Degree College, established in 1968, is named after Sri Kondapally RangaRao, a freedom fighter. It is located in sprawling campus of nearly about 43 acres of land. The college is catering students of tribal thandas, rural and academically backward areas. The college is approved by the UGC 2(f) and 12(B) in 1972. It functioned under Osmania University till 2011 and is now affiliated to MGU,Nalgonda. The college is accredited by NAAC with B++ and preparing to go for reaccreditation in March 2013. In tune with the latest trends, the college introduced restructured courses like Bio-Technology and Computer Applications. The college has well established Research Laboratory to study Water Pollution Controlling methods under UGC– Additional assistance grant for XIth plan. It has student strength about 1000+ and big Library with 40000+ listings. The college also has 5 acres of paly ground, and nearly 20 acres of land to be proposed to grow rare medicinal plants under the project assistance from MoEF, New Delhi. It has a three NSS wings to serve the needs of tribal thandas and remote villages near to Kodad Town.
