Bachelor of Technology (BTech Mechanical Engineering)

The department was started in the year 2003-2004 with an aim of imparting quality education in the field of Mechanical Engineering and bringing out efficient engineers. The department offers an undergraduate program in B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering. The faculty members are well qualified and highly experienced. It has 12 well established laboratories with state of the art equipment.

The department has undergone recently through an NBA inspection process and the result is expected very soon. Apart from the day to day teaching process the students are exposed to expert lectures, adjunct courses and industrial visits which are beyond the curriculum activities specified by JNTU, Hyderabad. The department has one Ph.D, 10 M.Techs and one B.Tech with project management diploma. About six faculty members are seriously pursuing their Ph.D programs and actively involved in latest research.

As a social responsibility the department conducted two free training programs to Government ITI students of Bhongir, on CNC Machining Processes. Consultancy jobs offered to or done by a department are certificates of the strength of the department in the related area. With a view to strengthen academic and application oriented capabilities, the department has undertaken this activity. Four MOU's were signed with Industrial establishments to formalize this activity. Although begun in a modest way, we already have completed a few significant assignments and intend to pursue this more vigorously in future.

Programs Offered
The department offers an undergraduate B.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students. One M.Tech program in CAD/CAM is being planned to introduce very soon.

Bachelor of Technology (BTech Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Aurora's Engineering College was started in the year 1998, since then department has made remarkable progress towards achieving its goal. The department is offering B.Tech course in EEE and one M.Tech programme in Power Electronics and it also got approval for introducing M.Tech course in Real Time Control of Power Systems which is a first of its kind in India. The department has got a well acclaimed faculty for its R&D activities, having published 56 papers till date in referred International Journals, National Journals and Conferences.

The department promotes leadership qualities in students by constituting student governing bodies for professional society ISTE and departmental society SEE. The department's excellent teaching-learning process, equipped laboratories, R&D activities, infrastructure and a strong desire to match up its standards at par with other internationally acclaimed institutions encouraged it to go for NBA accreditation process and it is extremely confident make it with good remarks.

Bachelor of Technology (BTech Information Technology)

The department of Information technology offers a course in Information technology with
An intake of 60 students at undergraduate level and a course in Web Technologies.
An intake of 18 students at postgraduate level.
The B.Tech course in IT was started in the year 1999.
An intake of 30 which was subsequently enhanced to 60 in the year 2000.

Five batches have rolled out since then. The department has been giving importance to the development of computer laboratories by procuring the state-of-the-art hardware and licensed software. At present the department has installed high end systems connected to servers that include UNIX server, Netware, Windows 2000 and Windows NT.Procurement of high end servers, upgradation of the system by way of memory enhancements and procurement of licensed software on the latest tools are planned and executed from time to time.

Bachelor of Technology (BTech Computer Science & Systems Engineering)

Partment of CSE offers an Undergraduate Program with an

The department has state of the art dual core processor Computer systems of "IBM" and "HP". The department has also state of the art software namely Rational Suite, Oracle 10g, Power Center Informatica, Cognos etc.

Bachelor of Technology (BTech Electronics & Communication Engineering)

In the Aurora's Engineering College, the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering start from 1998 and start 7 batches of undergraduates, every batches consisting of sixty students. The department is the alma-mater of many graduates settled in respectable high positions at home and abroad.

As a result of the excellent teaching methodology adopted by a highly dedicated and committed team of 37 faculty members in producing exceptional caliber graduates during the past, the AICTE has permitted for increase in intake from 60 to 120 at undergraduate level from 2003 onwards. In addition to undergraduate course, the department has opened up admissions for postgraduate courses viz., VLSI system design from 2004 and communication systems from 2006 for an annual intake of 25.

In addition the department has started offering PG course in Embedded Systems from 2007.At present the department has highly qualified senior faculty which includes, three Professors, nine Assistant Professors, six senior lectures, 19 Lecturers. Apart from it the department takes the services of seven Laboratory Assistants and 1 Data Entry Operators. The department is recognized by dedicated teachers, devoted students, committed supporting staff and expert technical staff.The students of ECE department in addition to securing higher ranks in competitive examinations like GATE, TOEFL, GRE etc., represented the college in various national and international seminars and conferences and thereby brought laurels to the college. The pass percentage of students has been consistent with more than 80 percent since 2002.

In addition to the classroom teaching, the students are exposed to guest/extension lectures by eminent persons in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology. The department has started the student branch of Computer Society of India, in the college premises by making all the students of CSE & IT its members thus associating the college with the noble cause of bringing computer awareness among the general public which is the main goal of CSI.

The collaboration of departments of CSE & IT, in association with Computer Society of India, has been conducting an annual meet PRABHAAVA, (a technical meet for emerging computer engineers) since the year 2002, where in students from all over the country participate in various events. The meet includes a balanced mix of competitions for students in programming, project presentation, paper presentation, computer quiz, and extempore.

The department has also conducted an event named ASTERIX, in the year 2007, to test various programming skills of students in C programming through the events coding, debugging, and quiz. These events provide the enthusiastic students the platform and opportunity to showcase their nascent and inherent skills. The department is rich with the right mix of senior and junior level faculty with two Professors, six Assistant Professors, four Senior Lecturers, and four Lecturers. The faculty of the department is actively engaged in conducting research in Artificial Neural Networks and Web Technologies. The department offers an undergraduate course in Information Technology and a postgraduate course in Web Technologies.. The department has been a forerunner in identifying the career oriented courses at the higher educational level that would facilitate formal training in those specialized areas at U.G. and P.G level and thus enhancing the employability of its students.

The department has set a goal of evolving the computing facilities into a full-fledged research and development center.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Aurora's Engineering College has taken a decision to start MCA course along with several other P.G. Courses. The department of MCA has been established in the month of June'2006 on the sanction of MCA course by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University with an intake of 60 students.
The department has strong faculty consisting of one Professor, on Asst. Professor and eight lecturers to work with dedication and commitment for the progress of the department. Right from its inception the department is getting its full strength of admission and the department is imparting the latest techniques of computer application to its students. As a result the department could achieve above 90% passes in every semester and is able to maintain an average percent of 70% and more.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Aurora's Engineering college started the MBA programme in 2006. The Department is one of the prestigious wings of the college. It conducts a Four-semester full-time MBA programme, affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and approved by the AICTE.
The department is endeavouring to carve a niche for itself amongst the Business-Schools in the state in providing the best training to the prospective managers.

The Annual intake capacity is 60 students who come from every corner of the country to join the coveted course. The institute has its own beautiful premises & well developed campus with all the necessary infrastructure & modern amenities.
