The Saraswathi Educational and Health Trust had originally established the Royal College of Engineering and Technology in the year 2001 at Trichy adjacent to the Pavendar Barathidasan College of Engineering and Technology Campus and subsequently relocated in Poonjeri Village, East Cost Road, Chennai with the main objective of providing more facilities and exposure to the students. As the Trust was engaged in the process of Restructuring, strengthening and developing the financial base there could be no enrolment of students in the Engineering stream for a couple of years in Poonjeri campus. However after completing the task of restructuring the financial base the Royal College has been reestablished after getting necessary clearances from the concerned authorities. With the college located at the junction of the IT Corridor, which houses a large number of IT Companies and the East Coast Road which also serves as the entertainment corridor it provides the right ambience to the students to pursue engineering education.

The New Royal College of Engineering and Technology is an emerging Institute of excellence in Engineering Education located on the East Coast Road, in the Historic Town of Mamallapuram. The college is run by a Trust that has been started with a mandate to provide quality education and has more than a decade of experience in the field of education both Higher and School Education.

With the motto “Learning for Excellence” the New Royal College of Engineering and Technology, has been started to inspire a new generation of well-trained professional, who can work as positive change agents in making India a Developed Nation. Our mission is to provide highest academic standards in a technology driven environment with the state of the art education system and qualified faculty.
