Faculty of Education, of Delhi University invites applications are invited for admission to the following Programmes:
1.Ph.d. (Education): Admission through interview on the basis of research proposal to be submitted in Department of Education (CIE) by April 15th, 2008.
2. M.Phil. (Education) Full-Time & Part – Time: Admission through written test & interview.
Contact Department of Education (CIE) office by the first week of July 2008.
3. M.Ed. : Full Time (One-Year) and Part-Time (Two Years)
4. B.Ed. Full-Time : (One Year) After Graduation.
5. B.El.Ed. (Bachelor of Elementary Education):Four-year full-time Programme after 10+2 for women candidates only
1.Admission to programs at Sl. No. 2-5 are made through Common Entrance Test and Interview etc. Candidates are required to go through the respective prospectus for details.

There are many Universities like the Indhira Gandhi (IGNOU) University which offer: M.A. in Education program, and for that you do not need a B. Ed. I am writing the information that i have been given.

The above is the site that belongs to IGNOU. You may find the Masters degree programmes link on the homepage, and clicking on it will give you a list of several m.a. programs. The master's in education program is also one of them there.There are other Universities also offering the M.Ed programme through correspondence.
As far as i know from the few minutes I got to speak with them, a masters degree in a subject is enough to do the m.a. in education course. Im not sure if someone with a B.A. could also do it, but dont need to worry about that. Do make sure that you contact them soon enough, cause as far as i know the applications for the next academic year are due soon, and the last dates are: July 15 '08 onwards. allll the best to you!! take care. :)

Im a B.com (H) graduate from Jesus and mary college and have also completed Master's of Business Economics. I want to get into teaching line. could you pls guide me on how to go about the admission criteria and also if there is any corresponce course for B.ED, as im working with an MNC rght now. And also i would like to know the eligibilty criteria for both B.ED and M.ED. whether one needs to be a B.ED for doing an M.ED or can do the later directly.
