ADMISSIONS

Admission to the first year of the B.E. / B.Tech. Degree Course
Qualifying Examinations and Eligibility
A
pass in H.Sc. academic / H.Sc. Vocational / 3 year diploma in
Engineering or its equivalent with minimum average mark in the relevant
subjects as prescribed below :
A. H.Sc. Academic - Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (OC: 60%; BC: 55%; MBC/DNC: 50%; SC/ST: Pass)
B. H.Sc. Vocational Subject- theory and practical and related subjects (OC: 60%; BC: 55%; MBC/DNC: 50%; SC/ST: Pass)
C. Diploma in Engineering (Pre-final and final semester) (OC: 60%; BC: 55%; MBC/DNC: 50%; SC/ST: Pass)

However
the candidates have to appear for the entrance examination conducted by
TNPCEE-2005/ CET conducted by Management Association

Age Limit:
A
candidate should not have completed the age of 21 years as on 1st July
for OC, BC & MBC/DNC. For SC/ST there is no age limit

For lateral entry B.E. admission:
Should
have passed the diploma examination in engineering / technology of the
state board of technical education and training, Tamil Nadu, with
minimum average mark as prescribed below for direct admission to second
year (Lateral Entry)

Eligibility for admission to PG courses

MCA
Should
have passed any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years
duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10 +2 school level (Or)
should have passed any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years
duration in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Should have appeared AIMCET/TANCET examination

MBA
Pass in any degree
Should have appeared MAT / TANCET examination

ME (Applied Electronics)
A pass in BE / B.Tech (EEE / ECE / EI / Electronics / instrumentation)

ME (Power Electronics)
A pass in BE / B.Tech (EEE / ECE / EI / Electronics / instrumentation / IC / BioMedical / Biomedical instrumentation)

ME (Computer Science & Engineering)
A
pass in BE / B.Tech.(EEE / ECE / EI / Electronics / INSTRUMENTATION /
IC / IT / CSE) or M.Sc., (Software Engineering, IT, CT, Computer
Electronics- 2 years/ 5 years ) or MCA

ME (CAD/Engineering Design)
A pass in B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automobile / Manufacturing / Production / Industrial Engineering)

ME (VLSI)
A pass in B.E. / B.Tech (ECE / EEE / ELECTRONICS / INSTRUMENTATION / EI / IC / COMPUTER SCIENCE / IT.)

NRI and Foreign Students:

Non - Resident Indians (NRI)
1. Pass in H.Sc. or equivalent
2. No. of attempts same as in (I)
3. Age limit same as in (I)
4. The candidate has to produce the following documents
Sponsorship letter
Copy of passport and visa of the sponsor
Copy of NRI Bank A/c of the sponsor
Letter from the sponsors employer
Blood relation certificate (father/ mother/ sister/brother/uncle/aunt)
1000 US dollar payment
Embassy certificate

Foreign Students:
1. Pass in H.Sc. or equivalent with mathematics, physics and chemistry
2. Age limit: a candidate should not have completed the age 25 years as on 1st july
3. The candidate has to produce the following documents
