Admission
to B.A., B.L.,(Hons) Course

Eligibility :
(a) The candidate should have completed the age of 17
years at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st
December of the year of his admission.
(b) The Candidate should have completed the two years
intermediate, HSC or equivalent course thereof from a recognized Indian
University or Pre- University.
(c) The candidate should have secured not less than
50% of marks in the qualifying examination.
(d) The candidate should be medically fit.

Course Duration:
Five years of study in Trimester pattern.

Application for Admission
2008:
The admission B.A., B.L.(Hons) course is based on merit depending on
the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination. The
application for admission for the year 2008-09 will be issued from 22.09.08 onwards. Applications
can be obtained on payment of Rs 500 by cash (or) D.D. taken in
favour of “Saveetha University”, payable at Chennai in person,
(or) Rs. 600 by post.
Applications can also be downloaded from the website www.saveetha.com,
and the completed applications forms should be accompanied by a DD for
Rs.500 /- taken in favour of Saveetha University, payable at
Chennai.

Filling the application form:
1. The application form should be
filled in block letters in the candidate’s own handwriting using
blue/black pen.
2. Affix recent passport size photographs in the space provided.
3. The University is not responsible for any postal delay.
4. The application form must be filled up in all respects. Incompletely
filled application forms will be summarily rejected.
5. Completed application forms should be sent to The Director
of Admissions, Saveetha University, on or before 11.10.08.

Fee Structure:
The Candidates once selected for admission should pay the fees at the
time of Counseling and thereafter in the month of June every year. The
fees once paid will not be refunded.
In case the candidate wants to discontinue/ withdraw after the
commencement of the course, he/she has to pay the entire course fee
(for five years) before discontinuing from the course. The selected
candidates will have to pay the annual tution fee of Rs.75, 000 at the
time of Counseling.

OTHER FEES TO BE PAID AT THE
TIME OF ADMISSION.
Apart from the tuition fee, the following has to be
paid at the time of admission- (One time Payment).
Admission Fee: Rs. 5,000
University Registration Fee: Rs 3, 500
Caution deposit: Rs. 5,000 (Refundable at the end of the Course)

Hostel Fees:
A separate hostel for boys and girls are available within the campus.
Vegetarian and Non vegetarian cuisine are available. The annual fees
for stay in the hostel excluding mess fees is as follows apart from a
caution deposit of Rs. 5000 (refundable at the end of the course):
Single room with attached bath
Rs. 30,000 per Annum
Annual mess fees Rs. 20,000(approximately).
A separate application for hostel should be made at the time of
admission.

Transport Fees:
Transport is available from various places in the city to the
University campus. The students who wish to avail the facility can
apply for the same and pay on the day of counseling. The annual fee for
transport will be Rs. 17,000 approximately.
