After the death of Shahu in 1922 there emerged host pleaders in Maharashtra and elsewhere who carried on educational work and social reform programme to the people following his foot stapes. Karmveer Hire of Nashik, Panjabrao Deshmukh of Vidarbha, Jadhav and More of Pune were prominent in the political and social field in 30’s and 40’s. In Kolhapur itself there emerged a band of workers imbibing the Social and educational spirit of Shahu. Notable among them were Karmveer Bhaurao Patil, Founder of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha of Satara, Shri. A.B.Latthe a great eduationist, politition and an eminent writer and Shri. Bapuji Salunkhe Founder of Vivekananda Santha, Shri. Balasaheb Patil and Shri. Mouni Vidyapeeth and Tararani Vidyapeeth. Such was the socio-political atmosphere produced by Mahatma Phule the father of Indian Social unrest and Social revelry which was carried further to the masses by implementing it into practices through his devotional propaganda uncompromising commitment to the Social upliftment of the lower classes, by the Chhatrapati Shahu of Kolhapur.
In1930 Kaka started his legal practice in Kolhapur. After some days through the mediation of Kshatarajagaduru he met Chhatrapati Rajaram in 1930 and after that his claseness with Chhatrapati went on increasing. Therefore, Kaka enjoyed the patronage of Chhatrapati. In all is future work educational, social and even political he earned a bug reputation in the public life of Kolhapur.
