The Arts, Science and Commerce College, Badnapur (Dist. Jalna) has been established in 1997 by Nirmal Krida & Samaj Prabodhan Trust Aurangabad with the leading role played by prominent academician Dr. D.A. Pathrikar, who is Chief Trustee of the Trust. Earlier there was only one secondary school at Badnapur and after completing 10th there were no facilities for prosecuting higher studies till 1997. Taking into account the plight of rural based students, especially ladies students the Trust thought it fit to start the college at Badnapur for the benefit of rural based students and particularly for ladies students.Badnapur is a taluka place situated in Jalna District. Badnapur predominantly an economically backward taluka and there were no educational facilities in early stages except a Z.P. High School, which was opened as late as in 1970. The Badnapur is connected by South Central Railway (S.C.R.) i.e. on Aurangabad-Secundarabad railway route. The same is also connected by road and is 20Km away from Jalna City and 40Km from Aurangabad City. The means of livelihood of the people in this area is agriculture and the agriculture is solely depending on rainfall.

In the beginning the college introduced B. A. & B. Sc. courses and there was positive response from the students. In the year 1998 Commerce faculty was introduced at the college. From the year 2000- 2001, Junior college is established with the streams of Arts Science and Commerce. The college provided maximum possible higher educational facilities to rural based students by introducing identical subjects like Psychology, Geography, Home Science Electronics, Computer Science, Microbiology, and Statistics. Moreover, the college even started PG teaching in seven subjects for the benefit of rural based students especially for lady students. Recently Govt. of Maharashtra and Dr. B.A.M.U Aurangabad grant the recognition to Research Centre in Physical Education from 2008-09., BBA, BCA and Few vocational courses & self employment programme has been added for students. The results of the college at University level so far are throughout most commendable. Some students of our college in the subjects like Hindi and Economics secured cent percent marks at University level. The percentage of passing in first division is also noteworthy; which speaks the quality of teaching at the college by the faculty. In this background, the college strived hard further to promote higher education facilities both quantitatively and qualitatively.
