The Prestige Institute of Management (PIMG) has been promoted by the renowned Prestige Group of Industries , Indore and is a part of Prestige Institute of Management & Research, Indore , which is recognised as a premier management education centre nationally and internationally. The Prestige Institute of Management (PIMG) is conceived as a unique growth oriented Institute of management education training . This Institute has been launched with the solemn objective of catering to the educational and training needs of large no. of fresh Indian boys and girls, non resident Indians, foreigners residing in India defence personnel and executives from industry and government. Presently the Institute is being run in a specious double storied building situated in the most prominent place of the town. Quite a large open space surrounded by plenty of trees and plants make the campus, beautiful, pleasant and environment friendly. The Institute has been recognised by AICTE, H.R.D.ministry, Govt. of India and DTE, M.P. Govt. and affiliated to Jiwaji University , Gwalior. The Institute is functioning in a huge double storyed building constructed on a large piece of land .Quite a specious and properly furnished classrooms and properly furnished and equipped Computer Lab, Library, Scientific Lab, Reading Room, Girls Common room administrative block have been provided in the building only. A large open space has been left for facilitating sports and games like Bolly ball, Badminton etc. A well equipped library is one of the pillare of a progressive, onward looking Institution. The Institute has a purpossional library, which is a comprehensive collection of over 3000 books on management, computers and other allied matters. A number of important periodicles and journals are subscribed in all functional areas of management, computers and others subjects. The Institute is having an audio, visual section and research matter in which a no. of video cassets on management have been collected, which are displayed through TV and VCR for the students.
Computer Lab
Our state-of-Art Computer laboratory provides the students exponsure to the latest environment prevailing in the field of Information Technology. The Institute has the latest equipment Installed in its Computer lab to meet both present and future needs . The Computer lab has a local Area Network(LAN) of 14 nodes & a WinNT Network of 22 nodes . The computer lab has a Internet facilty with Proxy server connected to 22 systems. The operating system used is Unix, WinNT, Dos 6.22 and systems are Pentium I& Pentium III. The well equipped lab and extremely Competant faculty provide a through exposure and hands on methods of computer training . The students therefore passing out from this Institute would be competent to handle computerisation methods and packages adopted by various industries and business houses.
Pedagogy
Regular class discussions preceded by lectures are the main methods of teaching Emphasis is also placed on other modern techniques of teaching like Case discussions, Penal discussion, Seminar, Management games, Organisation behaviour labs etc. Special lectures by eminent persons like senior business executives, management experts from different parts of the country are provided.
Library
A well-equipped library is one of the pillars of a progressive and forward looking Institute. The Institute has a library which has a comprehensive collection of over 5000 books on Management and computers. A number of important periodicals and journals are sunbscribed in all functional areas of Management and other subjects.
Hostel
The Institute provides hostel facilities to the desirous candidates both boys and girls separately. The hostel is run by a hostel committee consisting of representatives of hostel students and one hostel incharge from the Institute. The hostel is being run on no profit no loss basis. Hostel facilities include rooms fitted with fans, tube lights, cupboards, table chairs and beds, Morning tea, lunch (vegetarian), and dinner(vegetarian) are served.
