The College was established in the year 1964 by a reformist – socio-cultural – educational organization called ‘Ansarullah Sangham’. Through the establishment of the College ‘Ansarullah Sangham’ aimed at uplifting the highly backward population of the area by imparting quality higher education to its young generation.On its road to its progress the College got permanently affiliated to the University of Calicut and became a Government Aided College. The College is also recognized by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC act. The College offers bachelors degree in Arabic language and literature with an important component of Communicative and Functional English.

The College is now run by ‘Ansar Arabic College Committee’ under the parent organization ‘Ansarullah Sangham’. Prof. M.A Sayeed is the Manager of the Institution. Through its untiring work the College has become a beacon light of progressive enlightenment to the people of Kerala State in general and Malappuram District in particular. The College is proud of its enlightened alumni spread over not only in different parts of the states of India but also in different countries across the world in positions of proud and honour. Dr. K.T. Fazalullah, an eminent scholar in the field of Arabic language and literature, is the Principal of the College. The College has a brilliant faculty of learned scholars in the concerned disciplines. The general library of the College is considered to be a treasure house of some of the rarest reference books on Arabic language, literature and the religion of Islam. Ansar Arabic College has the state of the art facility in teaching and learning language and literature. A full fledged language lab and audio-visual smart class room with internet and satellite access enables the students to go through a highly enriching learning atmosphere.
