Sambhram Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is a unit of Sambhram Charitable Trust R, which was formed in the year 1991 as per the norms of the Indian Trust Act and under the section 3 of UGC Act of 1956 by the Chairman and founder Trustee Sri R Venkatesh along with the other Trustees.

Sambhram Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is developed in an area of 30 acres of land with the immediate built up area of 7,50,000 sqft including 650 bedded Multispeciality Hospital along with all other medical amenities as per the guidelines of Medical Council of India MCI Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences RGUHS, Bangalore and Government of Karnataka

The motto of establishment of Sambhram Institute of Medical Sciences and Research SIMSAR is to provide tertiary level health care to its citizens and for quality medical education to the student’s community. Having achieved laurels for establishing superior standards in providing civic amenities to the denizens of KGF, the Sambhram Group realized the need for the establishment of a medical college in the town, which could provide quality medical services and excellent medical education. Thus, the Sambhram Group started this prestigious project and this has culminated into SIMSAR.
