Bachelor of Engineering (BE Electronics and Communication)

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering started with an intake of 60 students. Considering the infrastructure facilities and academic excellence of the Department, the AICTE enhanced the intake of the Department from 60 to 120 from the academic year 2003-04. The Department has qualified, experienced and dedicated faculties. The present strength of the faculty is 18 and among them 9 are Post-Graduates and 2 Doctorates.

Departmental Activities
The Department conducts Seminars, National Conferences and Workshops and arranges Technical talks by renowned Technologists and Academicians from Industry and from other Institutions. There is a Departmental Library for reference by students and faculty. It has an Association, “ELECTRA” which aims to bring out the latent talents of the students.

The Information Science and Engineering Department of DBIT is established with a mission to impart excellent knowledge about computing and related know-how to the students. The members of faculty are highly experienced in industry as well as in Research areas. Departmental Activities: Technical Seminars by eminent persons from Software companies & scientists from Central Government institution like ISRO, NAL, HAL, ADE, and ADA are arranged regularly to enable the students to gain knowledge of the latest technology. Training is given to students to face Aptitude & Technical Tests conducted by Industries for the purpose of placements. The Department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty, who are dedicated in teaching and training students. The Department has received proposals to provide Research and Development (R & D) facilities to encourage Research Projects

The Computer Science and Engineering Department has well equipped Laboratories with IBM Servers and Networked IBM Systems. Each faculty member is assigned with a group of 15 students, who is a friend, philosopher and guide to them. The students have been motivated to form “Technology Groups” to explore and share knowledge of latest technologies. The Department provides research and development facilities to encourage research projects.
