Gumla Education

Gumla is small district near Ranchi. Gumla got its name from Gau Mela. Though Gumla does not have good number of colleges, the school education is highly appreciated across the state. Gumla is culturally very rich, and represents Jharkhand's traditional colors. Gumla has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 70%.
