Students with Bachelor’s Degree (12+3) or equivalent from recognized Indian/Foreign Universities or those in their final year of Bachelor’s Degree Course (subject to furnishing proof of qualification by the date specified by the Centre) are eligible to apply. Candidates with 1-2 year’s experience in small and mid-sized industries would be given preference for admission.

All applicants will be required to appear in a specially designed written tests. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for group discussion and personal interview. Learning ability, attitude and motivation are the key criteria for admission. The selection would be carried out in two stages:

Written Test: An objective type aptitude test to ascertain an applicant’s English Comprehension, Numerical Abilities, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview: Based upon the test performance and the data furnished in the Application Form, qualifying applicants will be invited to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The final selection will depend upon an applicant’s past academic record and achievements, performance in the written test as well as the group discussion and personal interview. The decision of the selection committee will be final.

Admission into the Master of Technology programme of the School of Technology, Kent State University, USA would require:

· A pre-specified minimum grade point average in all the components of CIM · Scores for the general test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) · Scores for Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL) Programme Fee

Programme fee is Rs. 1.20 lakhs and USD 5400 for those who proceed to KSU for M.Tech. CIM students benefit from waiver of out-of-state fee at KSU.

The Programme fee is payable in installments. Educational loans can be arranged for highly meritorious students who need financial assistance.

Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Technology (PGDBT):

A business technology programme that integrates IT concepts, skills and applications to create techno-managers for the 21st century. Spread over 18 months, it includes 4 academic terms, 2 project terms, 35 courses carrying total 36 credits with 1 credit being equivalent to 24 sessions of 70 minutes each. The first year of this programme feeds into Kent State University’s (USA) Masters Programme in Computer/Information Technology.

This is a concurrent programme in association with Kent State University, USA. While the first year of the programme will be delivered at CIM, students will have to complete the second year at KSU. Credits earned at CIM get transferred to KSU’s M.Tech program enabling students to complete the course at Kent in 2 semesters in place of usual 4 semesters. The M. Tech (IT) degree is awarded by KSU. Simultaneously, students are also awarded CIM’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Technology.
