DR. C.V. RAMAN University has been set up by All India Society for Electronics & Computer Technology (AISECT). Dr.C.V. Raman University has been notified on 3 Nov 2006 by Govt. of Chhattisgarh.
In addition to undertaking regular degrees and PG programmes in science, Art , Commerce and Management faculties, the University focuses on newer technological subjects like Information Technology,Bio Technology, Environmental Science and on such other modern Science and Technology areas as are in tune with changing times. The University shall promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial skills among its students for better
usage of ICT in education and development.
Dr. C.V. Raman University has been set up by the All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT). This University has been named after the first Nobel Laureate of the country in the field of Science, Dr. C.V. Raman. The University is located at Kota Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh). The University has been notified on 3rd November 2006 and Shri Santosh Choubey has been appointed as its first Chancellor. Dr. A. S. Zadgaonkar has become the first Vice Chancellor and Shri Shailesh Pandey has taken over as the Registrar of the University.
