Department of English

The Department of English and Foreign Languages became functional from June 2007. Started with the objective of enhancing English/Communication Skills, the Department offers M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes.

The programmes aim at enabling students to gain subject knowledge, generate their own knowledge and the emphasis is especially on devising enabling processes to carry that knowledge into the real world in a meaningful manner - in other words converting knowledge into productive action.
