Varalakshmi Community College. Established by GMR Varalakshmi Foundation – the corporate social responsibility arm of the GMR Group The College offers job-focused education to aspiring students.

IGNOU has been designated as the nodal agency for the ambitious program of setting up 500 Community Colleges through out the country. The Community Colleges are an alternate system of education and skill development for the youth. The Community Colleges promote job oriented, work related employability skills training along with life skills. GMR VCC offers 1 year Certificate courses and 2 year Diploma programs which would give them an Associate Degree. Later an additional year could be completed to receive a Degree.
