Subir Chowdhury Fellowship on Quality and Economics 2019 – The London School of Economics and Political Science​ invites applications for its Subir Post-Doctoral Fellowship on Quality and Economics 2019.

About the Scholarship

  • The Subir Chowdhury Post-doctoral Fellowship on Quality and Economics was established in 2010 at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). The Fellowship is supported by the Subir and Malini Chowdhury Foundation.
  • The Subir Chowdhury Post-doctoral Fellowship on Quality and Economics is for a period of three months during each academic year, based at the LSE India Observatory.

  • The successful candidate will be informed of the decision by the end of July 2019

Eligibility

  • The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • Applicants should have been awarded their PhD the fellowship is not intended for students registered for a degree or diploma, nor is it intended for senior academics
  • Applicants should be early career researchers working on the impact of people quality and behaviour on economies. The main objective of this programme is to examine the links between quality and economics.
  • The Fellowship allows for any scholar to participate in the programme regardless of ethnicity or national origin.

  • Applications should be addressed to the Fellowships Selection Committee, Asia Research Centre, London School of Economics & Political Science, Houghton Street, London WC2A 2AE, UK, and may be submitted by post or emailed to [email protected]
  • Applicants must send the applications in a A4 sized plain paper which should include:
  • A cover letter of no more than one page
  • A curriculum vitae of no more than three pages
  • An outline of proposed research of no more than three pages
  • Names and addresses of two referees, familiar with their work, to be contacted by the Committee
