- In order to be eligible to apply for a Saltire Scholarship, candidates must have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible postgraduate Masters level course.
- The Saltire Scholarships are available across the following key priority countries:

- China (including Hong Kong)
- India
- Pakistan
- United States of America
- Japan
