Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Participate?

The SilverZone STEM Innovation Olympiad is open to all students currently enrolled in recognized educational institutions across India. Specifically, the competition is designed for students in Classes 1 to 10. This broad eligibility allows young learners to participate and showcase their knowledge and skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Age and Class Requirements

There are no specific age restrictions for participation; however, students must be in the appropriate class range as mentioned. The Olympiad is structured to accommodate students from Class 1 (typically around 6 years old) to Class 10 (approximately 15 years old). This ensures that the competition is accessible to a wide age group, promoting early engagement in STEM education and fostering a love for learning in these critical subjects.

How to Apply

Registration for the SilverZone STEM Innovation Olympiad is done through schools. The process involves the following steps:

1. Schools receive the prospectus containing the registration forms from the SilverZone Foundation.
2. Interested students obtain the registration forms from their schools and fill them out completely.
3. Parents sign the consent form for their child to participate.
4. Schools collect the participation fees from students and submit the registration forms to the SilverZone Foundation within the deadline.
5. Schools generate roll numbers for all participating students following the guidelines provided by the foundation.
6. Schools send a copy of the roll numbers along with the registration sheets to the SilverZone Foundation at least 30 days before the exam date.

Structure of the Olympiad

The SilverZone STEM Innovation Olympiad is structured in two stages:

Stage 1:

• This stage is conducted at the school level.
• Students compete with their counterparts within their own school.
• To qualify for Stage 2, students must score at least 75% in Stage 1.

Stage 2:

• The top 100 students from each class who scored above 75% in Stage 1 are eligible for Stage 2.
• Stage 2 is a city/regional level competition.

Examination Format

• The Olympiad is conducted in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.
• There is a different question paper for each class.
• All questions are objective-type with no negative marking for wrong answers.
• The medium of the test is English only.
• The Olympiad is conducted annually on two dates in school premises.

Question Types

• The questions are of an objective type with multiple-choice answers.
• For classes 1-2, there are 25 questions with a duration of 40 minutes.
• For classes 3-5, there are 35 questions with a duration of 40 minutes.
• For classes 6-10, there are 40 questions with a duration of 50 minutes.
