The state of Sikkim does not have an autonomous State Board of Secondary Education and Senior Secondary Education and thus the state has to be wholly dependent on the CBSE Board. Directorate of School Education and Administration deals with school administration responsibilities such as maintaining links between all district offices, Mid Day Meals, National Literacy Mission etc.
Sikkim Board
Schools in the Sikkim state are either affiliated to CBSE or ICSE board. Both 10th and 12th class examinations are organized by the CBSE or ICSE Board annually in the month of March to April. Students can directly download their date sheets from the official site of the CBSE Board.
Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE)
The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education is the board of open schooling recognized by the Government of Sikkim. BOSSE is established under the act of The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim Act 2020 was passed on 21-09-2020 by the Sikkim Legislative Assembly stated under Act No. 14 of 2020.
