The Thangamani Matriculation Higher Secondary school, a minority institution, is run by the Thangamani Educational Trust, registered under the Trusts Act of Tamil Nadu. The School is a Co-educational and has been recognised by the board of Matriculation Schools and the Director of School Education.
The School was started in the year 1982 as a Matriculation School for the benifit of the children in and around Pattabiram. The School was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School in 1987. The objects of the Thangamani Educational Trust include the establishment and running of schools, colleges, technical institution, etc. in due course. At present a Pharmacy College is established at Sindhu Nagar, Avadi. A Primary School is also functioning at Kakkanji Nagar, Pattabiram.
