Aligarh Public School, founded by Prof. A.M Khusro, the then Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University in 1977, with a view mainly to provide high standard schooling facilities. Great people with a vision leave behind a legacy and he founded Sir Syed Education Society and the Vice Chancellor of AMU as its patron. The school started functioning from nursery to class V in the first phase and then moved up to standard 10th in 1984.Later it was upgraded to +2 level in 1999.Aligarh Public School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) which is the largest board in the country.APS is a co-educational school with a strength of about 2500 students on roll. The school provides free education to large number underprivileged students. The school has transport facilities also.The school pays emphasis on its motto “SERVICE, TRUTH KNOWLEDGE” The aim of the school is to illuminate the minds and souls of its students with the light of knowledge and enduring human values, so that they may become good and responsible citizens not only of this country, but of the world, as well.
