The Aditya Birla Intermediate College, RenuSagar, is one of the best co-educational Hindi Medium Schools in Sonebhadra, Uttar Pradesh. The college is managed and financed by Hindalco Industries Limited (Renusagar Power Division) Renusagar. It’s affiliated with Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Prayagraj, UP. It’s located in Renusagar, 210 km. to Varanasi Airport on the Varanasi – Shaktinagar Highway. The school started in 1968 & was upgraded to High School in 1977. It became an Intermediate college in 1991.
It was 1968 when Renupower Management started the school with a small number of students in a residential house of Renupower Colony. The objective was to provide employees’ wards with quality education. Within three years it came into the form of Primary School and acquired a separate school building. Its level increased year by year and it was upgraded to Junior High School Level in 1975. In 1976 primary school got separated and junior high school came into being. It became a High School in 1977 with affiliation to and the recognition of Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. It acquired the status of an Intermediate College in 1991. Renu Power Intermediate College got rechristened as Aditya Birla Intermediate College in 2007.
