Karnataka Board is responsible for each and every aspect of education in the state. There are two major boards that handle these activities. For SSLC, the board is different while for Plus One and Plus Two, the government has appointed another board. The names of the board are the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board and the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka for SSLC and Class 12. The boards provide the syllabus and curriculum to the affiliated schools. Karnataka Board also conducts the exams for the respective classes. After the completion of the exams, the board also declares the result.

Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board
The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board came into existence in the year 1966. It is the state government board of school education. The board is well known as KSEEB. The headquarter is present in Bangalore. The board prescribes the syllabus, devises the course of study, grants recognition to the affiliated schools, and provides direction and support to all secondary educational institutions.
There are 9 inspection branches for the Administration Division, Accounting, Management of Tender, Evaluation, and 34 Districts. The computer branch plays an important role in managing the management of tests.
Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka
For higher secondary education in the state, this organization has been developed. The Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka works under the Department of Primary & Secondary Education. The board works at the Higher Secondary level for classes Plus One and Plus Two i.e. class 11 and class 12. There are 1202 Government Pre-University colleges, 637 Aided Pre-University colleges, 1936 Unaided Pre-University colleges, 165 bifurcated Pre-University colleges & 13 Corporation Pre-university colleges. Every year, more than 10 lakh candidates enrol in the board exam of this organization.

Karnataka Board Time Table
Karnataka Board releases its timetable for class 10 and class 12 in the month of December. For both classes, there are two different websites. For the SSLC standard, the students download the timetable at kseeb.kar.nic.in. The students of PUE standards get the timetable at pue.kar.nic.in. The link to get the date sheet appears on the homepage.
Karnataka Board Hall Ticket
For the candidates, it is mandatory to have the hall ticket or admit card at the time of going for the board exams. The board appoints an invigilator who checks whether the student is having the hall ticket or not. If the student has the admit card then he/ she gets the chance to appear for the board exams. Otherwise, they do not get allowed to sit for the exams.
Karnataka Board Result
Karnataka Board declares the result for SSLC and PUC standards separately. First, it declares the result for PUC in the month of April. Then the students of SSLC get the opportunity to check the result. Usually, their results get declared in the month of May. The result contains the board’s name, class name, school name, exam type, enrollment number, roll number of the students, the name of the candidates, subject name, subject code, marks in the individual subject, overall marks, result status etc.
