As a part of the webinar series on “CSR and Development”, KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) organized a talk for the students of MBA (RM) on 13th August 2021. The speaker, Mr. Vijay Wadhwani, Head, Britannia Nutrition Foundation shared about Britannia Nutrition Foundation’s commitment towards addressing and improving the health and wellbeing of the vulnerable sections of the community. He talked about the major initiatives like Swasth Bharat and Suposhan taken up by the foundation to address malnutrition and iron deficiency.

Mr. Wadhwadi then shared about the implementation process like mapping of the villages, screening of children, demand generation, awareness generation, engaging with pregnant women and adolescent girls. He informed the foundation’s interventions across different levels like anganwadi, school and community. The results of these interventions could be seen in terms of improvement in health, hygiene, nutrition practices, enhanced participation of the community and improved diversity in diet.

Mr. Wadhwani is a post graduate in management with over 14 years of experience in corporate, national and international organizations including Britannia, CAF India, ChildFund and Navjyoti. In his current role at Britannia, he leads Britannia Nutrition Foundation’s community programs on improving health and nutrition outcomes of children, adolescents and women.
