Gurushala, initiative of Vodafone Idea Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd., implemented by Pratham Education Foundation organized the Maths Olympiad for students from classes 7 to 9. Over 14,000 students across India participated in the test. Gurushala caters to students from remotest locations of Maharashtra to Telangana who attempted the test which was conducted today. The paper was available in more than 2 languages including Hindi, Marathi and English.
The Olympiad was taken to encourage the students to work upon their analytical and logical skills. It was created with fluidity and easy accessibility to students. Students even with 2G connection would be able to attempt the test as it was curated with attention to detail and easy access to all.
This test was aimed to help prepare the students for this coming academic year and bridge the gap which was widened during the pandemic period where school teachers faced a lot of challenges in mapping the students with self-learning at home. Thus the test will help teachers to guide their students better based on their performance.
The test will now focus on guiding the students to adapt to enhance their scores and their learning styles as well as to be a better student today than yesterday. The next stage would be engagement with every specific student and making sure to engage with attention to improvement at every student, teacher and school level. All the updates and more information on students’ performance in Math Olympiad will be posted soon on www.gurushala.co .
